What we are
The Settlement Layer is an African market intelligence company. We research the companies, people, regulations, capital and infrastructure shaping Africa's financial economy, and help companies use that intelligence to enter and operate across the continent.
Why we exist
More companies want to build in Africa than understand it. Good decisions get delayed, or made badly, because the information is fragmented, out of date or locked inside a few people's networks. We exist to make African markets easier to understand.
Our perspective
Africa's financial infrastructure is being rebuilt, often market by market and rail by rail. Stablecoins, mobile money and new settlement networks are changing how money moves. The opportunity is real, and so is the complexity. We take both seriously.
